In 2006, Harrison Memorial Hospital celebrated 100 years of service to Cynthiana and Harrison County and the surrounding counties. Once a community hospital, it has expanded into a regional medical center, acquired cutting-edge technology, and partnered with physician specialists leading in their fields to deliver the highest quality healthcare close to home. In 2016, HMH completed a $33 million expansion and renovation of medical/surgical departments, clinic offices, and diagnostic testing areas. In 2007, HMH completed an expansion and renovation of outpatient services, surgery department, emergency department, and obstetrical unit.
HMH currently has 17 physicians on the active medical staff and more than 100 consulting specialists. Harrison Memorial Hospital is a locally owned and private, not-for-profit 501c3 healthcare facility. HMH is licensed by the state of Kentucky to operate 61 beds and is certified by Medicare-Medicaid and is accredited by The Joint Commission, the College of Pathologists, the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, and American College of Physicians Chest Pain Center, Level IV Trauma Center Designation and the American College of Radiology.
