Cynthiana, the county seat of Harrison County, is considered the northern most-southern city in Kentucky.  US 27 runs through Cynthiana with a by-pass that allows for quick and easy access to both commercial and residential developments.   The Cynthiana/Harrison County community strives to provide quality of life for its citizens and stands ready for continuing a friendly climate for development of all types and business.  The area offers quality education at all levels in order to provide an educated and skilled work force for now and in the future.  In addition, preventive and specialized healthcare, recreation, shopping, dining out experiences and entertainment are readily available.  The city and county governments work diligently together to maintain and build upon the infrastructure.  Cynthiana is only about a 15 mile drive from Georgetown, 30 miles to Lexington and 55 miles to the Northern/Cincinnati areas so citizens are located close enough to frequently visit and participate in the culture and activities the region has to offer.
